This was the first unit on my course which gave me the opportunity to take on an external client. The client I worked with was Wooden Spoon, who are a charity that supports disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK.

I was only given five weeks to plan, film, edit, gain client feedback and make any required changes, so this project developed my ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.

The staff at the charity were very pleased with the finished video, and they felt that it clearly demonstrated the impact that their work has had on disabled and disadvantaged children.

For this unit, I was tasked with reworking a classic Disney story into a horror narrative which would be engaging for a modern audience. To do this, I needed to incorporate relevant topical issues into the narrative.

To maximise the impact of the trailer, I needed to select appropriate snippets from the narrative which would capture the audience's attention whilst not revealing too many details.

For this unit, I had to create an animation that would raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage viewers to take action.

​

I designed the characters and set, and manipulated them to create the illusion of movement. Through the completion of this unit, I developed a number of important skills including resourcefulness and attention to detail.

For multi-camera production, I was tasked with filming a live music event or a live sporting event. Me and my team had to plan what equipment would be required and where it would need to be placed in order to capture sufficient coverage of the event and make it easy for the audience to follow.

As well as developing my organisation, planning and team work skills, I also learned a number of new functions and effects in Adobe Premiere Pro.
